Here’s something truly special from the heart of Nashville. The  Alden 10-String Pedal Steel is a boutique-quality instrument hand-built  by local luthier Clay Alden, whose work is quickly gaining recognition  for its exceptional tone and meticulous craftsmanship. Built from solid  hard maple and featuring a 24 1/4” scale length, this steel offers both  durability and tonal clarity that players love.

Equipped with a standard 3 pedal and 4 knee lever configuration, it  delivers the classic Nashville setup with modern flexibility. The  10-string all-pull system features triple raise and triple lower  capabilities, offering precise tuning and smooth action across a wide  range of musical expression. Grover tuners provide rock-solid stability,  while brushed aluminum end plates, key head, knee levers, changer  fingers, and inlays add durability and a clean, professional aesthetic.

Accurate timing is a significant factor in a steel's playability. Alden  pedal steels are not restricted to predetermined bell crank positions.  Their unique bell crack design enables an infinite range of settings

Comfort and playability are also top priorities: adjustable  knee spacing and pedal height, along with an integrated hand rest,  ensure a personalized and ergonomic playing experience. At its core is  the Clay Alden 18.5k single-coil pickup—hand-wound in-house to match the  voice of the instrument, delivering everything from warm, expressive  swells to sharp, articulate picking.
